Owners of the Mustang Shelby GT350 – the most balanced and race-inspired Mustang ever, have an exclusive opportunity to learn about the latest advances in track-tested and developed tire, aerodynamics and chassis technology that make this the exceptional automobile that it is.  In a controlled environment and under the watchful eyes of Ford Performance Racing School’s professional instructors, owners of GT350s will learn plenty about their new vehicle – and about themselves – as they complete this program offered free of charge by Ford and Ford Performance.

The GT350 Track Attack is a complimentary one-day high-performance driving experience for Mustang Shelby GT350 / GT350R owners. This is an exclusive opportunity to feel the exhilaration and legendary performance while exploring the limits with the help of the Ford Performance Racing School Professional Instructors in a controlled environment.

Mustang Shelby GT350’s exclusive high-revving, 526 horsepower, 5.2-liter V8 remains the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever.  Delivering 429 lb.-ft. of torque at a blistering 8,250-rpm redline, it’s mated to a track-proven and precise-shifting Tremec® 6-speed manual transmission.

According to Billy Johnson, a driver for the FIA World Endurance Ford GT and IMSA Mustang GT4 programs and development driver for the GT350, the result of the new GT350’s aerodynamics tuning, revised brake calibration, and much greater downforce is a more balanced, higher-performing car on the straightaways and especially in the corners.

“Along with improved grip, brake and chassis refinements, Shelby GT350 brings a whole new level of performance driving, it’s a rewarding car to drive on track for amateurs and pros alike, while making the driver feel like a superhero.  It’s confidence inspiring in corners and begs to be pushed harder and to take corners faster.”

Instructors at the Ford Performance Racing School, all trained professionals and many racing champions in their own right, will offer participants a deep dive into the GT350’s unique technologies and features in the classroom.  Following the classroom instruction, owners will jump into their assigned cars for vehicle control exercises to experience firsthand the capabilities of this awesome vehicle before taking to the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  The GT350 Track Attack builds on previous owner programs offered by the school, including the Boss302 Track Attack. Our instructors help anyone take their expertise to the next level, whether they are beginners or experienced racers.

Founded in 2006, Ford Performance Racing School is the only school of its type supported by Ford Motor Company and has become one of America’s top training programs for those wanting to sharpen their driving skills while becoming better and safer drivers. The school employs a fleet of modified Mustang GTs, GT350s, Fiesta STs, F-150 Raptors, Edge STs and Explorer STs… all steered by a team of instructors comprised of championship-winning drivers.

GT350 Track Attack takes place in the classroom, and on the road course, at America’s Home for Racing – Charlotte Motor Speedway.

GT350 Track Attack is conducted by the Ford Performance Racing School using the outstanding facilities of the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.  Its location in the southeast and its proximity to Charlotte Douglas International Airport make it convenient to many, and its address within what many consider to be America’s “Mecca of Motorsports” makes it appealing to even more.

Program participants will enjoy a variety of driving experiences designed to showcase the outstanding performance capabilities of the exciting Shelby GT350.  Charlotte Motor Speedway is uniquely qualified to deliver these experiences.  From the first-class classrooms and infield meeting facilities to the road course and Roval there is no other complex in the country better suited to showcasing the many talents of the GT350… among the most balanced pony cars ever engineered by Ford Performance.
